Virtopia Species Compendium

There will be many species of creatures to pick from when starting a game. These are the creatures that have been discovered by archaeologists so far:

N'Dorian
The N'Dorians are a cute, playful species, with high intelligence and aptitude to become skilled in many areas. They make great first creatures and will be loyal to the end! N'Dorians can power-up into a larger, stronger Pet, with a great yearn for battle.

Paloidian
Paloidians are an insect species, with 6 legs, two antennae, and have great strength and energy to spare, but are easily harmed because of their frail appendages. They have a short temper, and are typically unhappy, which makes them eager for a good fight. Paloidians, when their energy levels and experience is high enough, can power-up into fierce monsters with no mercy.

Pixellian
Extremely intelligent, and electronic in nature, Pixellians are the embodiment of all that is digital. While their strength may be low, amazing speed and special defenses (ICE) keep them out of harm's way. A no-nonsense pet for the digital age.

Granitite
Armed with pure strength, Granitites are a walking destructive force. While their intelligence may among the lowest of all creatures, these monstrosities make up for it with sheer mass and muscle power.

Monsters

These are the monsters that you may encounter in your travels. Depending on where you are you'll find different creatures, with different strengths and weaknesses.

Low Grunge
The most common monster in Virtopia, Grunges are abundant, yet weak in small numbers.

Sand Grunge
Another common monster in Virtopia, Sand Grunges are spawned from sand and rock, and most commonly found along coastlines and near beaches. They're can be hard to spot at first, and are slightly more powerful than the Low Grunge, but slower.

Lesser Wicket
Wickets are magical creatures summoned by wizards, and made up of sticks, leaves, and soil from ancient cemetaries. Found mostly in heavily wooded areas, their viscious attacks have left more than one traveller running in fear!

Land Shark
Little is known about the rare Land Shark, except that it it's found near water and attacks with it's endless rows of razor-sharp teeth. They're vunerable to almost any type of attack.

Vexx
The Vexx are a cruel and highly intelligent race, that descended from mythical dragons. Their teeth and claws make powerful weapon, but feared most is their fire breath attacks. Vexx can be found in either wooded or open areas.

Whirl
Whirls are known for their surpise attacks, using their great speed to their advantage to sneak up on unsuspecting Virtopians.

Vorlon
Vorlons are gelatinous blobs of acid goo that can quickly devour anything in it's way. Beware of these until you've high level! They can be found in the marshy swamps around Fort Sumner.

Sentinel
Sentinels are horrible robotic creatures left over from an invasion that occurred on Virtopia a million yarn ago. Manufactured in cybergenic laboratories in the northern parts of the world, they are programmed to destroy anything and everything they come across. Stay clear of the sentinels unless you're ready for a nasty battle!
